<p>Columbus Crew rookie Kirk Urso died on Saturday. No further details were given about the causes or circumstances of the 22-year-old's death in the statement released by the team on Sunday morning.</p><p>"The Columbus Crew has learned that midfielder Kirk Urso has passed away on Saturday night," the statement read. "While the circumstances of Urso's passing are still being determined, no further comments will be made at this time.</p><p><u></u></p><p>"The thoughts and prayers of the entire Columbus Crew and Hunt Sports Group are with the Urso family in this time of need. "</p><p>Urso had captained the University of North Carolina to a national championship his senior year and was picked in the first round of the 2012 Supplemental Draft. He had played in six games for the Crew, including five starts at the beginning of the season. A groin injury sidelined him in May, however, and he has not played since.</p>

<p>Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic says the club's players never doubted Fernando Torres' ability to return to his old self.</p><p>The Spaniard scored once in his 18 games for the Blues following his January transfer window move from Liverpool, but has recently re-found his scoring touch, finding the net four times in as many games for the club.</p><p>Although he'll miss the trip to Queens Park Rangers this weekend, Torres' league return will coincide with the visit of Arsenal, and following his double against Genk on Wednesday, Ivanovic is glad the striker has left something in the locker.</p><p>&quot;He worked very hard in training and this is a result of how he is working. We're looking for him to be better and better,&quot; Ivanovic said.</p><p>&quot;We know inside the team we never questioned Fernando, it is a normal thing that players need time when they change clubs. Now everything is perfect and we're looking forward for this.   </p><p>&quot;For me it's enough he scored two goals [against Genk] and can save something for the other games.&quot;</p><p>Without Torres, Chelsea face a tough prospect in the form of QPR, for the first west-London league derby of the season, opposition that despite being newly promoted, Ivanovic says won't be taken lightly.</p><p>&quot;We have to focus on our game, we have a very difficult game against QPR, a very big derby and it's very important for the fans and for the players. We expect a hard game,&quot; he added.</p><p>&quot;The season is long, this could be an important game but we have to focus on ourselves and look to win that game against QPR.
